Dr. Marcy Stern, Ed.D., LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor

For over 20 years, I've worked with teens ages 13+, families, and adults. I have an extensive background in working with clients and families experiencing dementing, chronic, and terminal illnesses; and the fears associated with illness. Grief and loss issues are difficult to come to terms with and therapy can help with acceptance and with learning how to live with the 'new normal.' I believe that people often need guidance and tools to manage and cope with life changes, especially during events like COVID-19. I also believe that providing resources is an essential part of treatment. I incorporate mindfulness practices to help reduce anxiety and depression, improve sleep, and help manage pain. Therapy is more than just talking. I believe it is important to have practices, exercises, and tools to be able to use at home between therapy sessions.
